Bursaries for top Mopani matrics - admin - 28-02-2011
Pretoria - Minister of Higher Education and Training, Blade Nzimande, will award bursaries to the top 67 matriculants from the Mopani District in Limpopo today.
Nzimande, who launched the bursaries as part of motivating learners from the area to excel, will hand over the bursaries as an event at the Letaba FET College in Giyani.
The bursaries will go towards furthering the learners’ studies at institutions of higher learning.
On Nelson Mandela Day last year, Nzimande launched the Career Guidance Campaign, with a career guidance festival in Giyani. He and other prominent South Africans dedicated 67 minutes of their time doing career counseling to learners. It was at this event that the minister promised to award bursaries to top performing matriculants. - BuaNews
