Multiple Intelligences - segarama - 07-04-2006 April 7, 2006 Good Afternoon, Christina, this is a great piece written by Howard Gardner. I believe for it to be even more credible, it needs some seasoning; maybe a little self-efficacy [Bandura style] and personal dispositions [Ritchhart style].....but much better than the typical IQ which measures intelligence for school and a how smart you could be if you applied the limited attributes. The question maybe is [applied]? However, I believe that Dr. Gardner has just begun.... This is in my opinion the beginning of "thinking outside the box" and very inclusive. Yet, there are so many different interpretations of MI that it is most refreshing to hear Dr. Gardner actually speak about it. This is a beginning and a great beginning for educational reform through out. Combine Dr.Kurt Fischer's cognitive development[Harvard University] along with Howard Gardner's MI and a good beginning in school reform has begun.
